I picked up a used eos 3 over the weekend at a camera show upgrading from a Ellan II. I know there has been talk on the list about early models having a exposure problem. The date code in the camera is UN0510, which I believe is for May 10 1999. Can anyone tell me is this date of one of the problem cameras so I can send it to Canon, also I've heard of a firmware update from 1.6 to 1.7 to add a extra custom function. The highest is custom function is 17 on my camera. I haven't had a chance to shoot anything with it yet as I'm still trying to figure out the manual. Why does Canon write such confusing manuals, I went out and purchased a Magic Lantern Guide. I'd also like to say I'm glad that this list is here because this camera seems alot more complicated than my Elan II so I'm sure I'll be asking alot of questions.
