Alex,
I compared too and bought this one. The Sigma is as sharp as the Canon and
has a very slight warmth to the coloring.
I compared side by side, not difference in sharpness except the Sigma is
sharper by a little bit wide open at 200mm.
The AF is slightly slower but I can live with this as my purpose was to get
a sharp lens wide open.
All around a lens as good optically as the Canon but at about 1/2 the price.
Oh yes, its black so some may feel uncomfortable with a lens that looks like
a Nikkor optic on a Canon body. ;-)
