A separate set of lenses for small digital sensors would not required completely new set of lenses. Rather the only lens that would need to be supplemented are wide angles. Current EOS lenses would (as I understand the issue) continue to work. Since the center area (i.e., the sweet spot) would be exclusively used, this would make these great lenses even better.
Thus the only new lenses that most of us would need to buy would be a 12-24 which equivalent to 18 to 40 (approx.) in 35mm world. Your current 17-35 would be 23-50, 28-70 would be 40-10, ... Well, that's my $0.02 >> Since I have $$$ invested in FE mount lenses, I would have very little >> (read: none) interest in purchasing a set of lenses specifically for a >> digital body. To me this would be akin to the desertion of the FD mount for >> the FE, morally if not in practice. * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
