Just checked the specs of Maxxum 9 and 7 on Minolta site (AF system
chapter) vs teh one of 1V - you hit the bullet. Minolta indeed utilized
CCD whiel Canon went with CMOS for AF detectors.
I wish Canon would follow CCD approach in this respect instead together
with their 45 points technology - then it probably would be killer for
low-light/low-contrast performance.
