The following is ment for digital SLRs. With the Minolta A1 out now I ask myself if moving the sensor for image stabilization is the better way than moving some lenses in lenses.
That way every lens could benefit from IS. Maybe one day with moving sensors the old non-IS super tele L lenses will be considered better than the IS versions, because in-lens IS spoils the lens formula a little.
