There a several different flavors of EOS/FD adapters available, and all of them have their issues.
One style does not have any glass in it - it effectively acts like an extension tube and you loose infinity focus. Another style has glass in it - it works like a tele- converter, so it cannot be used with wide-angle lenses. I had both styles at some point, but found the requirement for manual focus too limiting - my eyes just aren't as good anymore. Lars -- .~.
