If we find one that fits the AD and can order more than
one maybe we could get a better price.
I would be interested in one since I have 3 coupes to do.
And when I get them done I would give some one a good
deal on it since I will be selling my coupes.

John; I already have one of those $299 inspection tools. Unfortunately,
it will not meet the requirements of the AD. The AD specifically requires a
150 watt light source, rotation of the scope's tip of at least 40 degrees,
and magnification of approximately 10X at 5 mm. This is why I commented on
the proposed AD before it was issued. I do not believe scopes meeting those
requirements are readily available for less than $500, as stated in the
proposed AD.
If you are going to sign your name that you inspected the Coupe with a
scope, I recommend that you have one that will meet the requirements.
(Personally, I could not understand why the FAA would require 10X
magnification when you could alternatively cut holes and inspect with the
naked eye)
