A bit off topic but interesting, All USN submarines starting with the nuclear boats are driven through the ocean with a pair of side by side control stations that look like they were lifted from a airliner. Unlike surface ships that lean out while in a hard turn like as your car does, a Submarine leans into the turn like an airplane. The interesting thing is that they don't have rudder pedals either. My first nuclear submarine had subway straps to hang onto while turning at high speed.
