Ed, I hope they did...
Interesting, I think the FAA got 1232 lbs from the originial Ercoupe Specs.....using the IL 116 engine and only one fuel tank......prior to starters, battery, generator,upholstry, big heavy guages, etc....and using a wooden prop.
