...it is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!! I just took my first flight with it. Mounted on an R-A-M ball mount using the extension plate and the 196 mount, it didn't need the (nice) external antenna to acquire 6-8 satellites. I can see it in the dusk with my Serengeti drivers blue-blocker shades on. Had to adjust the contrast, but the point is that it was doable, unlike the Airmap. Super-intuitive interface. Sharp as hell, even my presbyopic eyes can read the 'small print.' Local landmarks are labeled. No doubt that will be handy when calling 'Ercoupe N99387 over Wells road inbound for landing with Victor.' Any significant point or airspace, hit Enter and it just tells you the pertinent info, like boundaries and altitudes. It's like having a super-savvy co-pilot navigator to help you along. Life is good. Best price I could find was avionicswest.com. $879, and reasonable shipping. If you have the money to spend, spend it on this (and R-A-M mounts, the one they send sucks).
