You made a good analysis.
Perhaps it’ll help if we express the
purpose of the two lists better.
TECH is for on-topic Coupe, flying
technique, maintenance and regulations that affect us and aviation issues that
affect Coupers.
FLYIN is for the social stuff and “other”
stuff because we’re something of a family. FLYIN is almost an open
forum but we ask people to avoid the really divisive issues like religion and
politics.
Anyone who wants to avoid these family
conversation posts may find happiness by only subscribing to TECH – that’s
why it was created.
Though I respect the creators of new
forums, I rather hope that we can make these lists genial and friendly,
obviating any need for escape.
The community of Coupers has, over the 27
years of my association, been a very congenial, helpful and nice group. About
15%+ of our wedding guests were Coupers. The FLYIN list is, in my mind,
the party line for friends.
