When I took my checkride I watched the person
before me fail before he ever left the ground. He did a prefilght and forgot to
untie the tail. The examiner let him start the plane and when it wouldnt move he
shut it down and sent him home.

In 1969, I took my checkride in a 415G. That is when youcould be licensed without a restriction put on it. I forgot to fasten my seatbelt, and did not notice ittill halfway through the ride. I had a very understanding and "lenient" checkride person and he let it by.It was a very windy day and he asked me if I had ever flown in that much wind.......I think he was as nervousabout flying with me as I was about doing everything right. You will pass next time.Good luck and remember to buckle up!!!!Scott
