No, they're not smarter. Borrowing the term that MBAs use in lieu of
a certain anatomical reference, they're just more "focused". For the
most part, Internet crooks don't think up the schemes they use, they
just pass them around -- there's a booming worldwide business in
selling kits to propagate scams. Like any other field of human
endeavor, for every smart crook there are a thousand copycats and wannabees.
