If "the atheists" intend to purge the airwaves of Christian
broadcasting, they'd better hurry. It seems like half the FM dial is
given over to it, especially if your radio's noise rejection (or lack
of it) allows high power stations to step on less well-endowed ones.
And when we first moved to Kerrville a couple of years ago, I plugged
our TV into the rabbit ears we'd used for thirty-odd years in the
Denver area. I was surprised to discover that I could actually
receive five stations here in "the Heart of the Hill Country". Then I
realized that all five of them were carrying Christian programming.
So for the first time in my life, I signed up for cable. Hey, I was
brought up Southern Baptist. I figure it's like being inoculated
against Fundamentalism.

A few months ago, I heard Ted Koppel talking about a recent visit to
Tehran. One Iranian told him, "We used to pray at home and go out to
drink. Now we drink at home and go out to pray." I'm sure the mullahs
think that's progress.
