You can get anything on your iPhone you can get on your computer, since it has a full-blown Safari on it. I use my iPhone to get briefings from DUATS, and to check Weathermeister.com and you can get NOAA satellite images, etc. You can file flight plans, close them, all sorts of stuff. It's trickier on regular cell phones, like I don't think you can get to DUATS.

To do it in the air you have to be close enough to a cell tower to get a signal. I haven't done it from the air, but at low altitudes I'll bet it's possible.

Has anyone had experience with getting real-time graphic weather updates on internet capable phones, such as Apple's new iPhone? Being able to "see" (and avoid) storm cells on your flight path would be great for cross country flights.
