Another technique I use which may help...  Check ebay for the radio...
please read on.  I have found some pretty esoteric things there but it might
take a few weeks for your radio to show up. If you are fortunate and one
does, contact the seller and ask if they would be willing to photocopy the
manual before they sell it.  People selling radios like this are usually
estate dealers, pawn shops, etc...  They are there to make a few dollars and
if they can make a few more by copying a small manual and selling it to you,
they will.  I have done this successfully every time I have found an item
before it was sold/shipped.  In fact, you can search closed listings on ebay
and contacting the buyer is not difficult either... I have not bought
manuals this way, but I have found people with interests similar to mine and
then "mined" for other items they might want to sell or trade.
