Well, I Googled the story and there were two other men, not Nick, that lost their lives. Witnesses said that the planes was breaking apart. Story was pretty disturbing! Sad to lose Ercoupe brethren.

Eastern Standard Time Subj: Ercoupe Accident. Hey fellow Ercouper's: I heard this afternoon that N 99154 has crashed near Sebring Florida. Two occupants were killed. The story from non pilots really sounds bad, and that is what is written on the local Internet site. However, a local pilot said he saw the plane just prior to the crash in a nose low attitude, obviously exceeding VNE and the ailerons were fluttering. The owner, an experienced pilot, was not flying the plane. Someone recently checked out was flying it. People wishing the other witnesses's accounts can read about it at highlandstoday.com Regards Lynn Nelsen -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make your life easier with all your friends, email, and favorite sites in one place.
