Hey folks! Please consider Texas! June, July, August, September is fairly hot but I fly at least once a week, I flew 173 hours last year, the rest of the months are excellent flying. Never too cold to fly here.
I live in Sherman, Texas in far north Texas, 6 miles from Lake Texoma, 6 miles from the Oklahoma border, rolling hills, lots of trees, looks a lot like Ireland from the air. There are many airport communities here, close to lot's of lakes. Of course, if you want the ocean, the Gulf of Mexico is south, it doesn't even freeze in that area. Housing in Texas is some of the lowest in the nation, no state tax, if you loose an engine in Texas, just lower the nose and land. :-) Don't worry about density altitude, if you can get your plane off the ground you can fly in ground effect for 20 miles! :-) Here are some websites. http://www.argylemls.com/airports/Texas.htm http://www.thirtythousandfeet.com/resident.htm http://www.airportairparkhomes.com/texashomes.asp http://www.skybronco.com/Airport%20Homes%20Texas.htm http://www.ts07.org/ http://texasairparks.aviationacres.com/ Here's me and my plane. We would love to have you! GOOD LUCK! Jack 903-436-0474 cell
