If you use the pre-heater just before flying you will burn off any condensation
that forms.

Moving from Texas to Virginia produced a new problem for me - really cold weather.

I built a very effective preheater using a $25.00 ceramic heater and a clothes dryer duct but when I mentioned that I was buying a timer for it I was told that that will create water in the engine, much like running the engine for a few minutes and stopping it before it reached operating temperature.

They said leave the preheater running all the time.

I will appreciate your thoughts as several of you are familiar with cold starts.

THANKS A LOT!
