You really need a copy of the Ercoupe Parts manual and the Ercoupe Service Manual. You didn't share your serial number. If your bird is a 415-C, in the Parts book look at p. 34, item 5. If it's a later model, see p. 36, item 9. The Service Manual has a picture of the 415-C panel on p. 50 & 51. The Mixture Control goes in the empty hole to the right of the Parking Brake control handle. Hope this helps.
