First, I'd like to thank everyone that email'ed me with responses and pictures. 
 They were very helpful and I'm grateful.

I do have a service manual and parts manual and I'll reluctantly admit that I 
should have thought to look there first and didn't.  My question was based on 
the fact that the old instrument panel didn't have a mixture control and I was 
wondering why.

Lastly, to answer everyone's questions to me: My Ercoupe is a 415-C, s/n 196.  
It hasn't been flown in over 15 years and I'm located in the Oklahoma City, OK 
area.  I hope to have it back in the air by next Summer.

Thanks again.  I'm sure I'll have more questions as this project progresses.
