That is what I was thinking. The hub of the Cessna type yoke is longer, which 
probably means allowing the hub itself to replace the elevator stop bushing. 

My thought is to remove one yoke, slip on the new one, allow the original side 
to bottom out against the panel, and then measure the distance between the 
panel and the new yoke. Removing that length of yoke tube from both sides 
should allow the elevator travel to remain uneffected.
