Hi Ruben,

You found me!

Your bird, Serial No. 4765, never had an N-number. It was PH-NCE from
the very first. I say that because Serial 4764 was N94655 and serial
4766 was N94656. While original CAA/FAA records should exist for this
production airframe, I have no idea how to access same with no known N
number. You might write them and ask what they would have and how to
get copies.

Information available to me suggests that PH-NCE was first registered
in the Netherlands in 1949 as a D Model. I show no record of any
previous registration number. Short dates are not the same between
Europe and the U.S., so I would speculate that 10/1/49 meant January
10th and not October 1st.

This airframe's production test flight was on May 21, 1947 as a CD
Model. It was exported to Belgium June 17, 1947. The Brussels dealer
was IntAir, who had a display at the Brussles Airshow, likely in 1947.
I believe your plane was present at the Stichting Texel Airshow De
Cocksdorpf, date unknown.

If I may be of further service, feel free to email me directly.

Cordially,

WRB
