Percy raises a good point.  The aerodynamic trim tab will establish a 
specific airspeed, regardless of power changes. The bungee trim does not 
do that, rather just applies a fixed force to the elevator.

I read Alan's comment about the broken cable, but I think he is 
referring to a broken trim cable, not a broken elevator cable.
