I'm capturing traffic in promiscuous mode and everything else seems fine, but the packets my machine sents seem to partly disappear. For example: I ping something and my machine sends echo request - but Ethereal only shows the echo reply in the capture. Same kind of thing seems to happen with other protocols like Oracle SQL*Net etc. Am I doing something wrong or is this by design?
