Hi All, Does any of you has problem with interface for capture under W2K? Trying to get answer from archives but not sucessfull.
In Capture -> Start in combo box Interfaces - no Ifaces are listed - only ":" probably as a default value is present. In documentation stated that this list is updated during first start of tethereal or ethereal. I was logged as user with administrative rights. Could not find any help how to set up this interface. I installed WinPcap-3.0, than Ethereal-0.9.12 on W2K. Than PC was rebooted List of my Ifaces: ---- D:\Program Files\Ethereal>tethereal.exe -D : D:\Program Files\Ethereal ---- Also try to start all programs from WinPcap (but did not help): daemon_mgm.exe -s npf_mgm.exe -s rpcapd.exe -d First two look after installation to be installed as service but manually started.
