hmm, I have few conditions for the new project name ;-)
I think it must be a "normal" name, which means :
- not an acronym
- not a computer addict joke
- not be composed with an abbreviation like "K" in "KDesktop"
A normal name would something like "Garma" or "Étoilé" but
formulated in "Everyday English"
May be we could allow some "artistic" letter cut like "Objectiv"
over "Objective" :-)
I don't really care much about the name (I liked both Garma and
Étoilé, and would have just picked one by toss of coin and gone on
with this), so won't take part in the whole thing, but keep in mind
that the more "normal" a word is, the less likely it is people
googling for you will end up at your web site.
Well, I think we need to take a quick decision then, we won't spend
more time on that :-)
Personally, I like étoilé, I also like Garma, or Resonance (which I
also find nice for its implications).
We thought with Quentin that it could be a good idea to change the
name, first because of Garma's merge with étoilé, second because some
people seemed to had trouble with the "étoilé" name (and its accents
;-)
But if nobody cares, well, we could just keep étoilé, it's less work ;-)
So, could people express themselves by answering this little
questionnaire ?
- keep étoilé ? YES/NO/DON'T CARE
- if change, which name ? Resonance/Flux/OTHER
Thanks !
