Well, the advantage of keeping it this way and
hashing the pathname is that it could be used
both for non-GNUstep apps (Emacs, Mozilla, etc.)
as well as that it could be used *by*
Freedesktop-aware programs (given they are
extended to support this). Both of which would be
kind of handy, IMHO. So maybe just leave it this
way.
I should do that and have it included in -base
GNUstep specific stuff which compiles directly
on Cocoa normally hmm but I will need to write
a different version for Mac OS X probably so it
will probably stay outside of -base.
Yeah, sounds likely. Wasn't there some kit with
MacOS X ports of GNUstep-extensions somewhere?
