If anybody is interesting for working on it, it is possible to do it in Google Summer of Code context, because GNUstep has been accepted as a project under GNU umbrella. There is an entry named 'Finish input server' related to such support on GNUstep Google Summer of Code 2006 tasks list : <http:// mediawiki.gnustep.org/index.php/Summer_Of_Code_2006>
As a side note, Étoilé won't be part of Google Summer of Code this year (It was impossible to take care of it on my side in the last days of April). Anyway I think they are plenty of important stuff to do in GNUstep itself. Stuff Étoilé is already relying on or is going to.
