Hi there,

attached you will find an oogly hack that creates a menulet that lets change the resolution through a menu (just like the X11 server's CTRL-ALT-<plus/minus>)

Since this menulet does not use ServicesBarKit, the menu is activated by RIGHT clicking the icon.
I know, I know, looks ugly, but hey, it works ;-)

The hack requires that the xf86vmode extension is installed.
Xinerama is optional. If you do not have it, you need to edit GNUmakefile.local. If your system lacks 'xf86Parser.h' simply comment out line 57 in Resolution.m
Uhm, I already said it's an ugly hack, right?

Tested on FreeBSD only, doesn't work on Solaris due to missing the xf86vmode extension...
