I agree, not everyone will want to install all possible menulets. In case of the 'resolution switcher' it probably would make sense to have a default setting whether to load it or not; there could possibly be a preference pane for it. Actually, I'm thinking about writing one already. Ideally, the preference pane would also let you change the resolution directly. BTW, I already updated the 'resolution switcher' look a bit more like Apple's. That is, resolutions are sorted smallest (at the top) to biggest (at the bottom), and the selected resolution is indicated by a check-mark.
