Hi Everyone,
I've finally got around to committing the XMPP code to Subversion
(only three years after I said I would!) for everyone to play
with. Unfortunately, it's a bit undocumented still.
The XMPPConnection class has a really ugly state machine for
handling various connection states, which probably needs replacing
(and converting to use NSStream, not it's supported by GNUstep).
The rest is fairly flexibly. The stanza factory classes specify
the different classes used to handle various stanzas, so it's easy
to add custom handlers.
Jesse: I gave you a copy a while ago. I haven't done much with
this version, except to modify the XCode project to build two
frameworks (one for the XML parse and one for the XMPP stuff).
Any questions, please let me know. I haven't had much time to work
on this for about a year, so anyone who wants to hack, please feel
free.
Hi David,
It's great to see XMPP support into Étoilé. I like the architecture
at first sight. I hope to dig deeper into the code soon to give you
more feedback.
Thanks,
Quentin.
