Something occurred to me, while porting the Jabber application. OS X
comes with a set of standard sounds (as does Windows, and most other
systems). Do we have a small set of default noises applications can
make? It would be useful, and there are lots of public domain sound
effects floating around that we could use; we just need to pick some.
If we don't have any yet, can I nominate our style guru (Jesse) to
prepare a shortlist that fits with the visual style? This site
seemed to have quite a large selection:
