Since you have made no NSMenuItem changes to gnustep-gui, I also wrongly came to the conclusion that the simple fix I proposed wasn't committed, because you were planning to eliminate the NSMenuItem protocol at some point. To summarize, I'm fine with the idea of removing NSMenuItem protocol. In the meantime, however I think the fix I proposed should be committed because it's really trivial. If you want, I can commit this fix. It would also eliminate warnings in other apps such as Gorm. The last time I compiled it, I got similar warnings than the ones we got with Étoilé trunk.
