I am not sure how to use libobjc2 but here is how I compile it.
I am using gnustep-config
$ gnustep-config --gui-libs
-rdynamic -shared-libgcc -fexceptions -fgnu-runtime
-L/home/mathk/GNUstep/Library/Libraries -L/usr/GNUstep/Local/Library/Libraries
-L/usr/GNUstep/System/Library/Libraries -lgnustep-gui -lgnustep-base -lobjc -lm

So I have switch gcc to clang and got the same result.
To be more precise I made the test on a Fedora core 14.

Now if I am using gcc on MacOSX I have no error.

I am a little bit confuse about the runtime, I don't know whether it come from
gcc, clang , gnustep...

Hope I could be more precise
