Ken,
well... this is an example of that feature *not* working! Ive set all that
up, just as you described, and it doesnt work for me ( In my case, it may be
an issue of using old config files, with a new system). I do like the mailing
list folder feature, and have it checked also, and the feature of display
sender/receiver, however both of those features arent working quite right
either.. My linux mail contains several lists, and some work right, some dont
(and yes, Ive checked the properties, and filter setting...) Its working good
enough for right now, I spent a few hours trying to get it right, and got
frustrated with it...

The Identity feature and mailinglist feature has been around for a while... I
might get better working results if I setup a new user account on my machine,
and let kde setup new config files... one day Ill get around to testing that
(and kde 3.2.0 apps...)

: Eureka! I just upgraded to SuSE and the solution was in one of
: the "KMail Tips" that appear when you first launch it.
:
: 1. Set up a filter so all of your Eug-lug (or whatever other
: list) mail goes into its own folder.
:
: 2. Go into that folder's properties, and down towards the bottom
: of the property sheet is a listbox where you can choose your
: default identity when responding to posts in that folder.
:
: 3. FWIW I also checked the "Folder holds a mailing list" box.
: Dunno whether or not that checkbox makes any difference for the
: problem at hand.
