[Eug-lug] Data transfer switch

Hey guys, I picked up a data switcher a couple of weeks ago and was wondeing if 
I hook it up to my current monitor on my linux box and than add the Mac box to 
the switch and work between linux and mac within the same monitor, would there'd 
be any problems whatsoever, if working between computers within on monitor??
