I agree with your sentiments, however the tagline on the website makes it sound like a social/emotional support for people who get beat up, themselves, either by their job or the technology.
Possibly a tagline that is not focused on emotional support would be more appropriate? FWIW, there will always be hecklers and naysayers, so keep your optimism but shield it with great fortitude. :) I was asking all those questions to help the reading audience differentiate what makes that group different from this one. It would be silly to say, "bring your preconceived notions and techno-bigotry", of course. If people thought about that in any part of their daily lives, the world would be a better place, yes. I *will* offer constructive questions, but it'll cost ya!! ;) from one who sometimes plays the heckler/peanut-gallery cards, ben On 2/27/07, Michael Miller <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:
I think this a really good idea. I hope it goes far, and people do not come to the meeting looking to beat up on X software or X technology. I think everyone going to a forum like this should keep a open mind. You should also offer constructive questions and commits. -Miller
