I found this position to be quite challenging (too much so). But I think
someone with a more solid Linux background and PHP programming skills
would do quite well at Bike Friday.

This key position at Bike Friday has overall responsibility for the
technological infrastructure for the company. This includes 4 in house
servers (Linux), two off site hosted web servers (Linux) and 30 or so
Windows desktops. The company has a thin client network in two
production lines, several secure wireless access points, multiple
network printers/fax machines and a wide mix of types of hardware and/or
operating systems in support of 45 employees.
You should have some or all of the below skills/background to be
considered for this position:
-The Right Attitude
-PHP programming skills
-Database skills
-Linux Server Administration
-Visual Basic for MS Access
-hardware maintenance
The overall environment includes Linux RH, Fedora Core, postgreSQL,
Apache, Samba, some mySQL, Windows 2k & XP (a couple Win98 boxes are
still around), MS Access as application front end, CUPS, backup/restore
of tar balls, postfix email, LTSP (Linux Terminal Services Project),
drupal (web site content management), more....
This position is on call 24/7 but fortunately emergencies are few and
far between. There is support available from a 3rd party for server
related issues and if required adequate funds for solving problems.
