Intel has two mini-ITX boards without CPU based on the G45 chipset which supports hardware decoding. I'm hoping to be able to pair it with an inexpensive 2000 series dual core chip and do HD! Time will tell as the boards are in a fair bit of demand and availability is severely limited. Just the board though will be twice what the Atom board w/CPU is.
