Hello Folks.

I am looking for simple ways to provide live video of Ham
Radio Club meetings such that house bound members can view our monthly
meetings over the internet. If there are any easy ways that someone can
think of to do this, please let me know your ideas. It would be ok for
us to have someone "man the computer" if our remote viewers wanted to
contribute, but we are on a tight budget and want to do this "on the
cheap", so two-way is not essential.

I have a laptop I can run Ubuntu on (albeit an old one with
6.0x) but we can probably build a desktop box if we need to do that.
There are myriad older P4 boxen around, and I am sure I could scrounge
one.

Please let me know if you are interested, particularly if you
are interested in helping set the system up. I have a couple of video
cameras, and can purchase an appropriate video/audio capture card if
it's, again, inexpensive. Be aware that if you come help set the machine
up, there may be Quiznos in your future (assuming only one person comes.
Can't afford to feed everyone in the group hah hah).

Thanks for any suggestions and/or offers of help.

Jim Darrough, KI7AY
