that sound just like the one I just did ,83 b2000 . I used 20 105 and a
old
crutis 60 top I'll bet your is fast with that raptor and 24 bats . at
50 it
pulls 120 amps . what yours pull at 50?
Yes, the Raptor and WarP motor are excellent. On flat ground at
50MPH it takes between 85 - 115 amps. Sorry, but there's not much flat
ground around here so I have to give you a range. My tires are Goodyear
Conquests (LRR) inflated to around 50 lbs.
The Warp 9" motor is most efficient around 2000 - 2500 RPMS.
That usually means 4th gear on the highway, but dips in the road on the
way up big hills can sometimes make the motor lug and suck big amps, so
I'll usually shift to 3rd and rev things up to maintain speed. Allowing
the motor to spin at higher RPMs helps control lugging and provides the
best efficiency and cooling for hilly circumstances. After cresting
hills I'll shift back to 4th while easing back on the throttle.
I usually keep the speed below 65MPH because the truck alone
weighs 4,225 LBS. Any faster seems foolish when the total GVWR is only
5,000 LBS. Some time ago I ventured up to 78MPH, but I suspect the top
speed would level off around 85 or so.
