Yeah, that's why I was wondering if there was something I could do to 
the needle to reduce that tendency.

These would both tend to leave a visible film, though I suppose that 
might be less than the dust that accumulates. Anyway, the antistatic 
cleaner did just fine, and I'll see how it does in the long run.
