So let's see. Renault and Nissan are partners. UK Battery lease per month for Renault Zoe = UK£70 (~US$105) US Battery lease per month for Nissan Leaf = $100 UK list price for Renault Zoe = UK£13995 after incentives (~US$21610) US list price for stripped 2013 Nissan Leaf = $21300 after incentives Coincidence? PS - The base Zoe is smaller than the Leaf - it's based on the Clio - but the Zoe appears to be more nicely appointed. > More than 65,000 Leafs will have been sold globally by the end of this > month, a number that includes almost 30,000 in the US ... (For the record, I'm a long time proponent of battery leasing, for many reasons you can read in the EVDL archive.) I wonder if 65000 is a large enough user base to make it worthwhile for one or two aftermarket vendors to offer spare Leaf batteries. David Roden EVDL Administrator http://www.evdl.org/
