Hi Peter, I swear by the Jabsco range of 8-24v water pumps and have had one in my Elise EV for years now as well as another in my latest conversion. They are developed for marine use and the 59520 that I use is rated to 21 litres/min which should be plenty for an EV's cooling system.
Max temp is 80C (176F) which again is plenty. Being brushless they are super quiet and will last for ever with a very low power consumption. You can also regulate the speed. Just ensure they are at a low point in the system to keep them flooded and keep the plastic part pointing down as I found out the hard way that they are not waterproof at the cable entry. -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/What-is-a-good-water-pump-to-use-for-an-EV-tp4665250p4665260.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org For EV drag racing discussion, please use NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
