This free piston engine is only an electric generator and we are discussing
its use in a series hybrid which is normally a plug-in (like the Volt). And
Toyota said, they would be using it for a "Range Extender". I suggest we
allow the discussion, and in particular the impact this 1930s technology
may have in aiding the EV range versus weight and price, limitation. We
need to get the "Range Anxiety" sufferers in an EV so they can "Get-Over"
it.
