With this Thunderbird, "Reply List" puts only the list in the reply header. I rarely use "Reply List", I generally just "Reply".

But when you use "Reply" doesn't the quoted message (to which you are replying) say "At blah blah time / date YOU wrote" instead of "Willie2" wrote? Doesn't it make sense, and good netiquette, to name the person whose message you are replying to?
