>What a waste of bandwidth< We can always rely on the evdl's own testy, crotchety ol'-sourdough (David) to not suffer ignorance.
And yes, it was posted to the archive as a matter of record showing there is still plenty of opinionated media ignorance (or is it?). If you were to sieve though all the news items worldwide everyday like I do, you will see a lot of these. But I am also now seeing more subtly plugin subversive items. In that case, writer ignorance is not bliss, but bought and paid for dis-information. Here are some other 'fun' ones (that didn't make the cut): http://tucson.com/ap/business/demand-for-the-new-tesla-is-wild-but-limited-to/article_ef660bf2-1255-57d6-8e0f-bce7b4679376.html Demand for the new Tesla is wild, but limited to tech fans April 13, 2016 ... http://sacramento.cbslocal.com/2016/04/12/strong-demand-for-tesla-for-early-adopters-as-electric-car-seeks-mainstream/ Strong Demand For Tesla For Early Adopters As Electric Car Seeks Mainstream April 12, 2016 % Huh, early-adopters? Before a 200 mile range, the media said all EVs must get 200 miles to be accepted, now they have up'd that. Before that it was the 100+ mile range, that would be acceptable. Once the so-called target was reached, the target was changed so that the public would think it has not been reached (keep the public waiting, in a non-committal state). When what really needs to be discussed, it helping the public know what 'their driving needs are'. Not what-if. what they actually need, and the alternatives available for the rare occasion that needs more. It is like the media is constantly keeping plugins out-of-reach in the public's mind. [sidebar (perhaps relate-able to above) I had another VA cardo Dr. checkup yesterday. Typical, I was given a student Dr. and later the assigned Dr. conferred. In the past my assigned Dr. drove a Leaf EV. He was looking forward to turning it in off lease and getting a different EV, one with more range and more room for his dog (and wife). I asked to have a quick chat with that previous cardo Dr. before I left. Turns-out he had sold in the Soul EV he had bought, and he was happy about his GM Volt pih purchase. The Soul EV had 24.2 cuft interior space, his Volt only has 10.6 cuft. So it was not the lack of interior space of the Leaf as previously mentioned (because the Soul EV had plenty). It was his lack of L3 EVSE experience which kept him with a constant range angst in his mind. He said his dog (and hopefully he and wife) enjoyed their drives from the SF area down to S.Diego (1000mi-trip). Clearly, this Dr. needed help to know his mind felt calmer with a pih, but it took two EVs to show him that his love of EV driving enjoyment was not as important to him as his mind's angst. /sidebar] For EVLN EV-newswire posts use: http://evdl.org/evln/ {brucedp.150m.com} -- View this message in context: http://electric-vehicle-discussion-list.413529.n4.nabble.com/Re-EVLN-Leaf-EV-is-Still-Better-Than-a-Tesla-tp4681521p4681528.html Sent from the Electric Vehicle Discussion List mailing list archive at Nabble.com. _______________________________________________ UNSUBSCRIBE: http://www.evdl.org/help/index.html#usub http://lists.evdl.org/listinfo.cgi/ev-evdl.org Read EVAngel's EV News at http://evdl.org/evln/ Please discuss EV drag racing at NEDRA (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/NEDRA)
