I saw one video where a locksmith programed two Leaf fobs in around a minute. I can see why your locksmith didn't want you to see what he was doing. I suspect the expensive tool a dealer or locksmith uses lets them justify the high price of programing. However I suspect the 85 dollar unit might work just as well. After finding out what a new fob costs my son ranted and promised to clean up his room. Lawrence Rhodes
