At least if you live in Europe.

In November of 2021, 23% of new vehicle registrations in France were either 
BEVs or true hybrids.  Of that share, 57% were BEVs. 

For 2021 to date, BEVs and true hybrid are at 18% of the market there.

That's newsworthy for sure, but IMO, the story below "buries the lead."  The 
EV sales leader in France by a respectable margin is the Dacie Spring. 

Dacia is Renault's economy brand, kind of what Chevrolet used to be to 
Oldsmobile here, or VW to Audi there.  The Spring is made by Renault in 
China, and is one of the cheapest EVs available in Europe, so this is no 
surprise.  

After France's EV subsidy, the base Dacia Spring costs 12,400 euros (about 
US$14,000).  The WLTP range is only 230km - Zoe is 400km and Tesla 3 is 
430km - but apparently the French are more sensible about how much range 
they really need in a city car.

In November, Renault sold almost twice as many Springs as Tesla sold 3s.  It 
should be said though that Tesla doesn't offer a model that's comparable to 
the Spring, or in fact to any of Renault's EVs.  Tesla seems to still be 
quite US-centric, but the real future of EVs lies in Europe, not here, so 
they need to get cracking on that smaller Tesla that's been rumored.

Renault's bosses must be popping champagne corks, because among the Spring, 
the Renault Zoe right on its tail, and their own Twingo EV, Renault sold 
more EVs in France than Tesla, Peugeot, and Fiat *combined*.
